This beautiful antique large Caucasian Lesghi Kazak wool rug is a vivid showcase of tribal artistry and bold geometry. Dominated by the iconic Lesghi star medallions, the central field features a dramatic sequence of eight-pointed stars in crimson, indigo, ivory, and saffron, set against a deep teal background. Each star bursts with intricate stepped edges and tribal motifs, evoking energy and movement across the field.

Surrounding the medallions are smaller rosettes and talismanic symbols, all framed by richly layered borders. The main border is filled with floral starbursts in sunset tones of gold and coral, flanked by powerful geometric guard borders with angular S-forms and hooked motifs in alternating shades of ochre, ivory, and sky blue.

Woven in handspun wool and coloured with natural dyes, this Kazak rug boasts exceptional craftsmanship and a commanding presence.
